For those who have given their serious consideration to the New Testament record, with a sincere desire to return to Apostolic Faith and Practice, there can be no doubt of the difference existing between original Christianity and the perplexing state of affairs among those called Christians in this latter part of the twentieth century. Today there are a multitude of denominations and sects all professing the name of Christ, many acknowledge the validity of one another’s claims to be truly “Christian” notwithstanding their varied opinions. This situation inevitably leads to the perplexing question: How is it possible for so many institutions to represent the same religious truths as taught by the Lord Jesus Christ and his Apostles and yet be so out of harmony in matters of doctrine? It is widely believed in the Churches today that the New Testament contains all we need to know about the Gospel message. However, when reading the New Testament, you will soon realise it continually refers to the Old Testament. This shows us that God expects Bible readers to be familiar with both the Old and the New. The Gospel did not just begin at the time of Jesus, but as the Apostle Paul told the first century believers in Galatia (modern day Anatolia in Turkey), it was “preached to Abraham beforehand.” (Galatians 3:8). Written in 1849 shortly after being re-immersed, Dr John Thomas addressed others who were finding out for themselves that their existing associations with the reform movement in Britain and America were inadequate. If there was a crisis over 150 years ago can it be said that the political and ecclesiastical stage has greatly improved with the passing of time? Israel is back in her ancient homeland, Russia dominates the North, the Papal False Prophet continues to deceive, all signs that the following advice can still be taken to heart today in this 21st century, as the Apostles’ Fellowship is surely worth striving after. When Dr John Thomas rediscovered Bible Truth in 1847 he advanced the essential need to get back to the Scriptures in all their illuminating glory in order to share the same gospel as Adam, Abraham, Moses, King David and all the prophets and Apostles, the true Hope of Israel - the Gospel Jesus believed and taught. Dr Thomas was re-immersed in obedience to his new found faith and thus be truly baptised into the name of Jesus Christ. Whoso believeth and is baptised shall be saved. Read more...

This doctrine has its foundation in the promises made of God to the fathers of Israel, explained by the prophets; and set forth in the teachings of Christ and his Apostles. It is of prime importance in the plan of salvation revealed in Scripture. However, it's importance is not generally recognised by most religions today. When the truth of the matter is understood, it will be seen that this doctrine has a most vital bearing on our eternal welfare, and the revealed purpose of God. The interpretation of the book of Revelation is a matter of great importance, and it is not something upon which those who claim to be the servants of God can differ fundamentally. There is a guiding principle, which applies to all the prophecies of Scripture laid down by the Spirit, and stated clearly by the Apostle Peter:
“No prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation; For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man; but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.”

“We tell everyone that Christ was raised from death.
So why do some of you say that people will not be raised from death? If no one will ever be raised from death, then Christ has never been raised. And if Christ has never been raised, then the message we tell is worth nothing. And your faith is worth nothing. And we will also be guilty of lying about God, because we have told people about him, saying that he raised Christ from death. And if no one is raised from death, then God never raised Christ from death. If those who have died are not raised, then Christ has not been raised either. And if Christ has not been raised from death, then your faith is for nothing; you are still guilty of your sins. And those in Christ who have already died are lost. If our hope in Christ is only for this life here on earth, then people should feel more sorry for us than for anyone else. But Christ really has been raised from death—the first one of all those who will be raised. I Corinthians 15:12-20”
